Emily Alvelo - Realtor
Emily first became interested in real estate when preparing to purchase her first home. While searching she found herself very fascinated with market trends. She researched and educated herself about the costs and process of becoming a home owner, and ended up purchasing a foreclosure so she could realize her HGTV dream of getting her very own fixer upper.
As a former college administrator of 13 years in Residential Life she got a taste of the real estate world on the property management side as she assisted with occupancy tracking, housing fees, the residential living experience for residents, capital planning, building costs and expenditures, and building maintenance. Her background and experience in this arena only widens her expertise in the real estate world.
Emily has a proven record of providing guidance and resources to others. As a social justice educator and advocate, Emily is passionate about quality service that is founded in providing a fair and equitable process to every person Emily has the privilege of working with.
As a Chicago native, Emily has enjoyed living in 10 neighborhoods in the Chicagoland area. This has allowed Emily to gain familiarity with Chicago proper as well as the south and northwest suburbs. Emily is always excited to support buyers and sellers as they explore residential opportunities that fit their needs. Emily’s skills in research, communication and active listening help her provide a positive experience for clients as they navigate the Chicago housing market.
